Die Casted Military Coins Mfg Process
Service (Combat) Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOB)
Computerized system is used to engrave your design on to the mold surface. Metal is melted at 1500 degrees and injected in to the mold. Once the metal is cooled, the waste material is trimmed to reveal the completed design.
The surface of the metal is polished until smooth. Various plating colors can now be processed. The quality of plating varied with the length of time the metal is immersed in the plating solution.
The design indentations are carefully hand-filled one color at a time using different size syringes, and placed to dry. This process requires a high degree of skill in keeping each color and the right amount of enamel in the designated area to prevent defective workmanship.
The Die casted process is best suited for intricate designs which require high detail, smooth surface and 2D and 3D view accuracy.
